Brendan T. Burke

Brendan T Burke, 77 of Kiawah Island, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.  

Born on November 25, 1946, in Staten Island, NY he was the son of (the late) Mary Burke (Kelly) and James Burke.  

Brendan is predeceased by his brother Kenneth Burke. He is survived by his loving wife Betsy, of 54 years, their children; Terrence (Kristen), Bridget Cummings (Glenn), Maura Lewis (Steven), Patrick (Susan) and his grandchildren; Lara, Owen, Marin, Finn, Mariana, Molly, Riley, Emily and Maeve.  

A decorated Marine who served in Vietnam, Brendan was also a dedicated member of the Marist College community and served on the Board of Trustees for over 20 years.  A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Brendan loved to make people laugh and bring people together, always. To know Brendan was to love Brendan.
