Brandon William Compton, 19, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018.
He was born on July 17, 1999 in Charleston, SC, son of Diane Calvert Compton and David Lynn Compton.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tommy and Betty Compton.
He is survived by his parents; his brother, Austin; his sister, Britney; his maternal grandparents, Harry and Maxine Calvert of Goose Creek, SC; his aunt, Debbie Calvert and cousin, Mitchell Leschak of Raleigh, NC; a cousin, Carrianne Leschak of California; cousins: Brandy Roberts (Michael), and Lynnlee and Josh Roberts of Minnesota; and an uncle, Dennis Compton of North Charleston, SC. He is also survived by other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brandon was a senior at Goose Creek High School and a member of the Boy Scout Troop 777, where he was an Eagle Scout. He was also a member of the Anime Club at Goose Creek High. He enjoyed playing video games in his spare time, visiting his grandparents, going to the beach house in Myrtle Beach each summer, spending time with his family, and was working hard to get his diploma in June. He loved his dogs, Midnight and Guiness and his cats, Mew and Pink Cat. He was a sweet and gentle young man who faced many adversities in his 19 years. Even with the adversities, he never gave up and he accomplished so much in his 19 years with us.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2018 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the neurology department at MUSC or the memorial of your choice.
