Mr. Bobby Jack Witt, 63, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Born on September 12, 1961, in Longview, TX, Bobby graduated from Longview High School, where he began cultivating the skills and passions that would shape his life. A skilled electrician and carpenter, Bobby led numerous projects in power plants and construction, also working on HVAC systems and performing chimney sweeps. His ability to master a wide variety of trades was a testament to his natural talent and determination.
Bobby’s love for carpentry went beyond his professional work, developing into a cherished hobby where he created small, detailed wooden furniture pieces. These works, crafted with care, brought him great joy and were beloved by those who received them. An avid pool player, Bobby was well-known for his passion for the game. He competed in many tournaments and built a reputation as a skilled and strategic player. Outside of work and recreation, Bobby was an enthusiastic gardener, taking pride in growing peppers, tomatoes, and herbs. His homemade salsas, made with his harvest, were a hit among family and friends, and sharing them brought him much happiness.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Elwyn "Joby" Witt; his mother, Pearl Dean Witt; his brother, Joby Kyle Witt; and his sister, Kellie Witt.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Witt; daughters, Lindsay Carrier, Cassie Casey, and Christi Witt; his sister, Tammie Witt; and many other beloved family members.
A memorial service celebrating Bobby's life will be scheduled at a later date, with details to be announced.
