Bobbie Leroy Glisson, 92 of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at The Villages of Summerville.
Born on July 12, 1930 in Durham, NC he was a son of the late Cleo Branch and Ressie Glisson.
Bob retired from the Air Force and Air National Guard as a Master Sergeant. He loved flying and flew his own planes up until he was 90 years old. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his family. He loved watching old westerns. He and his wife Donna, did a lot of traveling. He also collected old clocks.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his former wife Edna Glisson and later by his second wife, Donna Glisson, and a daughter, Bobbie Kay Glisson and a son Claude Bryant.
Bobbie is survived by his daughters, Debra High (Mack Lowe) of Indian Trail, NC, Karen Bryant of Charlotte, NC, Sandy Goodman of Seattle, Washington, a son Michael Bryant (Elizabeth) of Charlotte, NC, granddaughter Kim Widgeon (Jeff) of Charlotte, NC and many grandchildren.
There will be a service held at 1pm on May 27, 2023 at The Villages of Summerville Chapel. Burial will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital or The Villages of Summerville.
