Beverly Jean (Delaney) Nash of Lilburn GA, formerly of Folly Beach SC, left to join our Angels on October 27, 2015. Born on August 19, 1927 in Brooklyn NY to James W and Clara J Delaney, Beverly was a woman of many talents and gifts, with a voice as beautiful as her spirit. Beverly was an accomplished woman. Beverly was the village clerk-treasurer for the Village of Voorheesville, NY for 20 years. She loved to cook. With her husband, Jim, they operated The Heavenly Inn Restaurant in New Scotland, NY for 15 years. Beverly went on to graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, in Hyde Park, NY. Through her membership with the American Culinary Association she became a certified executive chef. Beverly and Jim relocated to Folly Beach SC., where she shared her art of cooking with many a diner at local restaurants. As a newly retired senior, Beverly attended the College of Charleston, completed her bachelor’s degree in education and went on to teach in special education for the Charleston public schools. Beverly leaves behind to cherish her memory the love of her life, her husband, James H Nash of Lilburn GA; daughters Sharon Hambly of Aurora, Ontario, Canada, Doreen Waite (Richard) of Pittsfield, ME, Irene Brimberry of Lilburn GA, Diane Howard of Chester VA, Mary-Jean Riley (William Hauf) of Altamont, NY, and June Springer (Kenneth) of Berne, NY; brother James W. Delaney of Conway, SC. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren also survive Beverly. Including her parents, Beverly is pre-deceased by her daughter, Janis L Delehanty, her two grandsons Kenneth (Kidder) E Springer Jr and John B Springer, her sister Ethel C. Foley, and sons-in-law, William P. Riley and Jerry L. Brimberry. The family would like to express their endless gratitude to Beverly's caretakers, Tasha, Lisa, Lisa Marie and the staff of Embracing Hospice of Lilburn, GA. A funeral service to celebrate Beverly's life will take place at the church Our Lady of Good Counsel, 106 W. Erie Avenue, Folly Beach, SC 29439, at 10 AM, on Friday November 27, 2015.
