Betty Lee Todd

Lee Todd, 85, of Charleston, widow of C.J. Todd, passed away December 13, 2013, at the Veterans’ Victory House of Walterboro. She was born September 26, 1928, in Westchester County, NY. Lee served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. After serving in the Military, she attended and graduated from San Diego College with a degree in accounting. She taught English and accounting but most of her career was in accounting. She was a member of the American Legion where she served as Chaplain. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her step-sons, Elbert R. Todd and Del F. Todd. She is survived by her step-daughter, Lee T. Koster and her husband, Ronald B. Koster, of Yonges Island; her grandchildren, Sue Young of New Jersey, Keith Todd of Philadelphia, PA, and Del Todd, Jr. of New Jersey; one great grandson and one great granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 2501 Bees Ferry Road, West Ashley Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church or the Veterans’ Victory House. The family wishes to thank the staff and management of the Veterans’ Victory House for the wonderful care given to both Mr. & Mrs. Todd during their residency.
