Betty Morris Latta

Mrs.  Betty Morris Latta, 82, of Bonneau, SC, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023.

Born on May 30, 1941, in Hemingway, SC, she was the daughter of Essie Altman Morris and Habert Morris.

Betty was a  telephone operator and instructor for Southern Bell. She was a housewife, excellent cook, president of the ladies' club at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a Cursillo member.  Her hobbies were cooking, flowers and vegetable gardening.

Betty is preceded in death by her sisters, Willie Mae Morris Owens and Francis Morris Tanner, and her brother, Grady Morris.

Betty is survived by her husband, Lawrence Latta; sons, Matthew Latta and Lawrence "Trey" Latta (Stephanie); grandchildren: Jessica Latta (Nick Burlile), Franklin Latta and Cameron Latta; sister, Cheryl Morris Scott (Jack) and brother, Barry Morris (Phyllis).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29455.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
