Betty Jean Crosby

April 17, 1936 — May 25, 2016

Betty Jean Crosby, 80, formally of Goose Creek, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Born in Langley, SC she was a daughter of the late Chester Stevens and Esther Huff. Ms. Crosby was a homemaker, caregiver, and enjoyed crafts, crocheting and fishing with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving person, whose giving was boundless. Survivors include a daughter; Darlene Bowen and her partner Jerry Lindsey, of Lebanon, SC; a son, Harley Crosby and his wife Debbie of Pinopolis, SC; a son, Bannon Crosby and his wife Betty of Ridgeville, SC; a son, Andy Crosby of Goose Creek, SC; a daughter, Colene Simmons and her partner Jane Simmons of Sneedville, TN; a brother, Roy Stevens of Moncks Corner, SC; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, one hour prior to the service.
