Barbara Diane Wood

Diane D. Wood, born Barbera Diane Deardorf, passed away on May 24, 2022, in Mount Pleasant, SC at the age of 90. She was the first daughter of Porter and Bess Deardorf. She married the love of her life, George Wood II, now deceased, in 1954.

She is survived by their two children Glenn Wood and Susan Diane Wood. She has three grandchildren: James Wood, Jackson Wood, and Austin Wilson.

Diane graduated from Tulsa University, with degrees in music and English. After two years with American Airlines, she met and married the love of her life, George in 1954. When her two children, Glenn and Susan, were of school age, Diane pursued a teaching degree and became a kindergarten teacher until her retirement in 1989, She was successful in everything she did. She inspired so many little lives including mine.

A private memorial service was held on August 27, 2022.
