Barbara Lang Hair Goldson

Barbara Lang Hair Goldson, 72, of North Charleston, South Carolina passed away, Friday, June 16, 2017. She was born in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Harrison Beacham Hair, Jr. and Elizabeth Caroline Phillips Hair. Barbara retired after years of Civil Service for the Department of Defense in South Carolina and Virginia. Barbara enjoyed traveling, both within the United States and abroad. Barbara was an active volunteer in the Elms Community in North Charleston. Additionally, Barbara was a member of the Buc Club at Charleston Southern University.
Survivors include her daughter, Honoria (Nora) Lang Rish Futrell and her husband Kevin Wiley Futrell of Hanahan, SC; grandchildren, Stephanie Lang Futrell and Parker Wiley Futrell; sisters, Linda Pearce Hair Newman and Caroline Frierson Hair.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL.
The Funeral Service will be held, Friday June 23, 2017 at 1:00 PM at The Church of the Holy Cross, located at SC-261, 335 N. Kings Highway, Sumter, South Carolina, 29154. A burial will immediately follow at the church cemetery.
