Barbara Claire Truluck

Barbra Jones Truluck, 77, died July 14th, 2020, at her residence in Summerville surrounded by her family. Mrs. Truluck was born in Brewton Alabama June 20th, 1943 to Bob Hugh Jones and Ethel Hanks Jones.

Mrs. Truluck grew up in Brewton Alabama and graduated from T.R Miller High School in 1961. A year after graduating high school she married, Lanier Truluck of Olanta South Carolina. She was married for 58 years and had two children.

Mrs. Truluck was a beloved Kindergarten teacher at Faith Christian School in Summerville, South Carolina for over 20 years. She also taught kindergarten at Noah’s Ark School and at Tall Pines Baptist Church in Summerville, SC. She was passionate about sharing her love of learning with her students and looked forward to having a tea party with her students every year.

Before teaching kindergarten, Mrs. Truluck was a homemaker and mother. Her love of teaching extended to her Sunday School students, with whom she shared the love of Christ.

She survived by her husband, Lanier Truluck of Summerville SC, her daughter Andrea Truluck Donnelly of Summerville, SC, son Adam Truluck of Summerville Sc, granddaughter Megan Donnelly Taylor of Tampa, Florida and her brother James Hough Jones of Eclectic, Alabama.

Mrs. Truluck had been fighting a battle with cancer for the past six years, her body could not fight any more and she has gone home to be with Jesus.

Mrs. Truluck was a loving, kind, sweet, mother, wife, teacher and friend. She will be truly missed by all.
