Barbara Ann Davis

Barbara Ann Davis, 72, of Goose Creek, passed away September 11, 2016. Born in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances Carter and wife to Kent H. Davis, Sr. Barbara grew up in Charleston and after marrying Kent they traveled around the country, while he served in the Navy. She enjoyed camping, crocheting and cooking for her family and friends. Barbara was the Past Regional Treasurer of the Fleet Reserve Auxiliary. The holidays were very special to Barbara and she loved decorating for Christmas and being with her family. She is survived by her husband, Kent H. Davis, Sr.; sons, William “Bill” L. Davis of Hawthorne, FL, Kent Davis, Jr. and wife Ann of Summerville, Ray Davis and wife Nancy of Kentucky and Tom Davis and wife Frances of Goose Creek; sister, Melva Davis of Johns Island; brother, C.L. Carter of Charleston; sister-in-law, Doris Accardo-Bowman of Charleston. Barbara is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL.
