Barbara Ann Anderson

Barbara Ann Anderson, age 79, of Hanahan, SC, died Sunday, June 14, 2015. She was born in Patrick, SC to the late Brooks Huggins and Alimae Blackwelder. Barbara was a member of Midway Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting the mountains and gardening. She is survived by her son, Larry Anderson and his wife Renae of Summerville; sister, Venetia Calvert of Hanahan; grandchildren, Larry Anderson Jr., Jennifer Barrett, Natasha Adams, Tracy Adams, Shawana Adams, Raymond Adams, Samuel Adams, Leon Melvin, Lloyd Medlin, Jeremy Medlin, Dawn Medlin VanAlstine, Vincent Anderson Jr., and Britney Anderson Parker; great grandchildren, Ryan Adams, Ashley Putney, Leonard Fields, Bryson Walker, Samantha Adams, Bently Adams, Kayla Adams, Gabriel Adams, Logan Melvin, Skylar Melvin, Taylor Melvin, Tyler Melvin, Jordyn Long, Ariel Medlin, Logan Medlin, Trinity Medlin, Autumn Medlin, Taylor Medlin, Johnathan Medlin, Keith Anderson, Caitlin Anderson, Austin Hutto, Maximus VanAlstine, Trey Barrett, Gabriel Medlin, Sullivan Medlin and Anna Medlin; great great grandchildren, Jamarion Petney and Nevach Mack. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her step-father, G.R. Blackwelder; children, Marcello Putney, Wanda Sellers, Rose Medlin, and Vincent Anderson; sisters, Georgia Lloyd, Mary Louise Voss, and Lucretia Droeseter; grandchildren, Robert Melvin and Lance Medlin; great grandchildren, Adreanna Adams and Ethan Adams. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at McAlister-Smith, Funeral 869 St. James Avenue Goose Creek SC 29445. A burial is to follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, June 19, 2015, 6:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel.
