Anthony Joseph Lucarelli

Anthony Joseph Lucarelli, 92 of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Born on August 28, 1931, in Halfmoon, NY, he was a son of the late Assunta Lucarelli (Fragassi) and Lorenzo Lucarelli.

Anthony, known as Tony, met and married Mary in 1954 (69 years) and they raised 5 children together. He served 4 years in the US Army as a Corporal Tank Driver in the 89th Medium Tank Battalion during the Korean War. He then worked until he retired at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was the type of person who was always busy, whether helping one of his daughters or tinkering in his garage.

Anthony is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Lucarelli and Assunta Lucarelli; son, Ronald Lucarelli; and brothers and sisters: Mary, Anna, Susie, Angie, Junior, Gino and Ida.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Mary Lucarelli; daughters: Patricia Lucarelli-Goulet. Gina Lucarelli, Mary Lynn Long; son, Daniel Lucarelli; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Phyllis Manzi.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at 1083 Cottingham Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
