Annie Mae Crosby, 80, of Summerville, passed away November 29, 2016. Born in Rowesville, SC, on May 3, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Fred Owen Edwards and Annie Adelle Edwards. Ms. Crosby worked for many years as a caregiver with the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. She loved to dance, play basketball, go fishing, listen to country music and go to the flea market. Annie will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who adored her family. She is survived by her daughter, Rose M. Walsh and husband Edward J. of Summerville; sons, Robert E. Crosby of Summerville, Kelvin W. Crosby and wife Crystal of Waynesville, NC and Jessie F. Crosby of St. George; brother, Ralph Edwards of Branchville; sister, Rozzie Ott of Cordova; grandchildren, E. Bradley Walsh and Benjamin J. Walsh, Shayne R. Crosby, Brandy Crosby, Skye Crosby and Luke Crosby; great grandchild, Emma Crosby. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. Funeral service will be held Sunday, December 4, 2016 at TBA at Cattle Creek United Methodist Church, Rowesville, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
