Ann L. Hofelzer, 85 years, of Charleston, beloved wife to Ramon Melda of Charleston, 89 years, entered eternal rest on December 03, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Born on March 08, 1935 in Berea, Ohio, Ann was the daughter of the late Robert Elroy and Almeta Bohnenstengel.
Ann was a loyal member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She graduated with a Master of Arts degree in 1978 from Central Michigan University with an undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace College where she was a member of the Alpha Gama Delta Sorority and later became the Director of Laboratory Services at Southwest General Hospital.
Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Hofelzer and great-granddaughter Annabella L. Burriss. She is survived by her daughter, Beth (Michael) Downs; grandchildren, Megan (Nathaniel) Burriss, Paul Tyler and Shawn Tyler; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Nathan and Clarabelle Burriss, David and Lillian Tyler; brother, Fred (Janette) Bohnenstengel; and many other loved family and friends.
The service will be held at a later date.
