Miss Ann Enright Moore entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 17, 2016. She was born on April 18, 1930 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Arthur Bernard Moore and Helen Molony Moore. She was a life-long resident of Charleston and Sullivan’s Island. Miss Ann is survived by her two sisters, Margaret Moore Shuman and James Thomas Moore Dovre (Retired, LTC. Alfred Lee Dovre), both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister-in-law, Catherine McDougal Moore, of Summerville, SC; and many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School, Bishop England High School, and St. Francis Xavier School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at St. Francis Xavier Hospital and retired from MUSC Clinics. In retirement she volunteered at East Cooper Community Outreach, Stella Maris Christ Our King School and Charleston Catholic School. Ann was a member of St. Francis Xavier School of Nursing Alumni Association. Ann enjoyed playing bridge with her friends frequently. It was also a joy for her to gather good groups of friends and family at her home in town and at Sullivan’s Island. Ann was a member of Michael Hartnett Chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy. She had a large family and many friends who loved her and will miss her. She was predeceased by her loving parents, one brother, Arthur Bernard Moore Jr., and one brother-in-law, Lawrence Edward Shuman. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Rosary to be recited at 5:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.
