Angela Yvette Higgins

Angela Y. Higgins, 54, of Spartanburg, SC, formerly of Goose Creek, died December 20, 2015. Born in Los Angeles, CA, she is the daughter to James and Mildred Higgins. Angie grew up in Goose Creek and graduated from Goose Creek High School. She loved children and had a passion for taking care of others and turned this into her career at the Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg. Angie was an avid reader, enjoyed shopping, was an excellent cook and had the memory of an elephant. She had an excellent sense of humor and loved to brighten others days with a joke and or a smile. She will be remembered by her family and friends as kind, caring and super loyal. Angie is survived by her parents, James and Mildred Higgins of Goose Creek; brothers, Scott Higgins and wife Wendy of Houston, TX and Thomas Higgins of Orlando, FL; step sister, Darlene Duncan of New London, CT; aunts Dorothy Bennett (John) and Barbara Barney; nieces and nephews, Channing Hine, Sydney Higgins, Dylan Higgins, Ty Higgins, Piper Higgins, Nichole Collins, Michelle Collins and Sharrelle Collins; and numerous cousins. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
