Angela Sharlene Glick

Angela Sharlene Glick, 58 of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. 

Born on May 22, 1965 in Charleston, SC, Angela was a daughter of the late Lewis and Shirley Barber.

Angela, was a 1983 graduate of Goose Creek High School. Her careers first began in banking from 1986 to 1991 then she attended Trident Technical College, graduating with an Associates Degree in 1992 in Health Science (Nursing), while also working as a James Island firefighter from 1991 to 1992. From 1992 to 1998 she worked at various hospitals including Charleston Memorial, St. Francis Xavier Hospital, Roper Hospital and Medical University of South Carolina. She then left nursing to pursue street medicine with Charleston County EMS from 1998 until 2004. She reached the ranks of Paramedic/Tactical Medic. She enjoyed listening to music, doing arts and crafts, traveling, collecting fairy and dragon statues, motorcycles, guns and was proud of her country. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. 

Angela is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Laverne and Shirley Ann Barber, Adoptive-Mother Mary Elizabeth Crabb, and a sister, Lisa Ann Barber.

Angela is survived by her husband, Thomas B. Glick, II, two daughters, Grace Glick of Summerville, SC and Natalie Buffoleno of Long Island, New York, three sons, Matthew Bassett of James Island, SC, Sean Bassett of North Charleston, SC and Tyler Acuff of Monticello, GA, three grandchildren, Oliver Bassett, Mary Bassett and Brentley Acuff, and brother, Lewis Laverne Barber, Jr. of Cassatt, SC.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 pm and a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm, at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation - James Island, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
