Andrew Ellery Dehne, 33, of Charleston passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017.
Andrew was born on June 14, 1984 in Ann Arbor, MI to Robert Dehne and Peggy Sommers. He was a native of Traverse City, MI and after high school enlisted in the Navy serving as a Nuclear Electrician Mate. After his service in the Navy, he served as Vice President of Ecospec Environmental Inspections and was recently employed as an Information Security Analyst with ITC Defense Corp. He was actively pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at Western Governors University.
Andrew was a loving partner, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend and talented musician. He was a lover of nature, avid reader, and a quiet thinker, with a kind and gentle spirit.
He is survived by his two children: Nathan and Sophia Dehne: life partner, Brandon Brown, of Charleston; mother, Peggy Sommers of Summerville; father, Robert Dehne (Ellen Retzolk) of Hartsville; brother Aaron Dehne (Noelle Shema) of Arlington, VA; maternal grandmother, Ellen Sommers of Summerville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Dwayne Sommers; paternal grandmother and grandfather, Eleanor and Daniel Stewart.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 15th at 3 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4pm.
A continuation of the Celebration of Life service will continue after the service at Sunrise Park, James Island, SC.
