Alice Mary Boyle

Ms. Alice Mary Boyle, 84 of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 26, 2024. 

Born on April 20, 1940, in New York, NY, she was a daughter of the late John Boyle and Alice O'Connell Boyle.  

Alice attended St. Vincent Nursing School in NY, and began her nursing career working in an Emergency Room in New Jersey. She then went back to school and became a Nurse Anethesist, and moved to Charleston, SC where she started a career at St. Francis Hospital.  She retired while working at East Cooper Hospital.

Alice has always been an avid dog lover.  After retirement, she worked with her dogs to provide comfort therapy visitation at local senior housing facilities.  

In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her sisters Betty Walsh, Pat Duryea and Mary Schultz, and nephew Richard E. (Skipper) Walsh. 

She is survived by her sister, Kathleen (Kay) Wagner, and many nieces and nephews.   

Special thanks to Bernice (affectionally known as “Ms. B”), Tiffany, Ceara, Quiana and Cheryl for the wonderful love and care they have provided.

The family will receive friends for a brief visitation on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am at the Church of the Nativity, 1061 Folly Road, Charleston, South Carolina, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am.  Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston, SC at 1:00 pm.
