Alfreda Valera Bayle, 99, of Ladson, passed away March 5, 2014. Born in Bangued Abra, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Esteban and Dolores Valera and widow to Jose A. Bayle. Mrs. Bayle was a devout member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, was an avid stamp collector and loved to pray. She is survived by her children: Jean B. Respicio and husband Joseph of Deleware, Victoria B. Villafuerte and husband Fred of New York, Rembert Bayle and wife Victoria of New York, Edina B. Mangubat and husband Romeo of Ladson, Milda V. Bayle and partner Kathleen of New York, Corazon B. Beronilla of New York, Lourdes B. Arban and husband Louis of California and Benedicto Bayle of New York. Mrs. Bayle is also survived by her twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek. Burial will follow in Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 869 St. James Avenue.
