Albert Foster Boerman, Sr.

Albert Foster Boerman Sr., 93, of Charleston, SC passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018.
He was born on March 17, 1925 in Chicago, IL to the late Albert Boerman.
Albert served in the United States Army, and was a World War II Veteran. He was an integral part of the growth and expansion of the United Parcel Service. He was a devoted, loving husband and father, and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ.
Albert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Mavis Louise Eldridge Boerman; daughter, Penny Lee DeZern; and son, Albert Foster Boerman Jr.
He is survived by his son, Randy Boerman and his wife, Kim, of Charleston, SC; daughter, Beckey Boerman of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren: Trae DeZern; Brooke Boerman; Jenny Stallings and her husband, Charlie; Foster Boerman; Randi Dawkins and Jade Boerman; and one great-granddaughter, Grace Stallings.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, an hour before the Celebration of Life service at 11:00 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, West Ashley Chapel. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Charleston, SC.
