Aladar J Brokes Jr., 77, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Charleston, SC. He was born on Monday, January 24, 1938 in North Plainfield, NJ to the late Mrs. Julia Martinkovic and the late Mr. Aladar Jacob Brokes Sr. Al served in the U.S. Army and spent many years working for Siemans as an assembler. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and spending time with his four-legged friends. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dr. Joy Brokes, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three sons, Christopher Aladar Brokes (Samantha), of Burlington, NC, Michael Guy Brokes (Connie), of Berkeley Heights, NJ, Kevin Jacob Brokes (Tracy), of Mount Pleasant, SC; one daughter, Susan Joy Brokes, of Whippany, NJ; two sisters, Matilda Dobias (Joseph), of Upper Saddle River, NJ, and MaryAnn Fliegel, of Whiting, NJ; Five grandchildren, and many loving friends and family members. A private Graveside Service will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery on Monday, July 06, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Lee Austin officiating. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made in his honor to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, http://www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate.
