Adelaida Reyes Gratuito, 90 of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023.
Born on September 26, 1932 in San Fabian, Pangasinan was a daughter of the late Dominga Reyes
(Imbat) and Telesporo Reyes.

Deling was passionate about all the things she loved the most. All hours of the day were spent tending to
her garden, making sure each harvest she grew and shared was filled with love and care. Inang would
spoil you with the food she cooked, and each bite was filled with warmth and love. She loved watching
action movies, especially those with Jackie Chan and Chuck Norris. She would stand in front of the TV,
fully engaged in the movie, to the point where the food she was cooking burned. She was a sports fan as
well, especially basketball. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing. She would sew pillow cases, blankets,
and shorts for her family. Deling had a soft spot for animals; she would take time to care for the dogs and
cats. Deling had a goofy sense of humor, and her smile was infectious as she told jokes and stories. She
always had family on her mind and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was
the foundation of our family, and she will be deeply missed. Loved unconditionally by anyone she
crossed. A woman of strength in faith, love, and family. She will live by her name and be remembered
forever with gratitude to those she touched as a Gratuito.

Adelaida is preceded in death by Dominga Reyes (Mother), Telesporo Reyes (Father) and her eldest son
Edwin Gratuito. Adelaida is survived by her children Daisy Sabinino, Ester Santos, Angelina Huesca,
Jossie Ilustrisimo, Anita Marcos, Nolly Gratuito, Percy Alvarado. Her grandchildren Esci, Joebhy,
Cyrhen, Cristy Joy, Jayson Gedrick, Daryl, Aiden, Francis Nehr, Stephanie, Kirby, Psyvy, Windy, Krizza
Novelle, Kyle, Kozete, Yzabelle and Ylezelle. Her great grandchildren Eugene Seth, Eurysse, Leigh,
Chaelsci, Zoren, Yuan Forrest, Reizl, Gabriell, Khye, Kenzley and Xhoey. Her great great great grandson
Sky Euan.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith
Chapel, 869 St James Ave. Goose Creek, SC 29448. There will be an additional visitation on Friday for
close family and friends, June 23, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral &
Cremation - Goose Creek, 869 St. James Avenue in Goose Creek, South Carolina.
The burial will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 4PM.
