Aaron Joye

Rushton Aaron Joye (AJ), 46, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on November 26, 2022.

He was born in Georgetown, SC, and lived in Virginia Beach, VA and Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was the son of Elizabeth Rumph Joye and Rushton Joye (Kim).

He was such a beautiful and thoughtful soul, he loved his family and cared deeply about his many friends and considered them as a part of his family.  He was an Automotive Diagnostics Technician and Mechanic with many certifications. A jack of all trades, he always extended a helping hand. Some of his interests included traveling, hunting, and cooking.

Aaron is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Joye; father, Rusty Joye (Kim); his sister, Rachael Joye (Marlo); and his nephews, Aiden, Collin, Liam and Adam.

Aaron was preceded in death by his stepbrother, Kaleb Cribb; grandparents Harry and Betty Rumph, Julian and Felicia Joye, Norris Joye; and beloved pet AJ.

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM, at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.  The Graveside Service will be on Monday, December 5, 2022, 1:00 PM, at Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery, 3715 Azalea Drive, North Charleston, SC 29405.
